Shakib Al Hasan’s father, Mr. Khandker Mashrur Reza, is a Government officer, whereas his mother, Mrs. Shirin Reza is a housewife. This Bangladeshi legend has a younger sister, Jannatul Ferdous Ritu. Even though he is named as Shakib Al Hasan in front of the world, he is known as and called ‘Faisal’ by his family. Shakib Al Hasan married Umme Ahmed Shishir, a Bangladeshi model and a software engineer, on 12th December, 2012. He was blessed with his first daughter and named the angel- Alayna Hasan Aubrey. Moreover, the couple welcomed their second child, Errum Hasan, in 2020. Not only that, this evergreen couple is expecting their third child very soon. 

Life History

The legendary Shakib Al Hasan started his International career in 2006. He is adroit and strong in middle-order batting and spinning attack. He has certainly taken Bangladesh cricket to another level anyone could have ever imagined. He has always grown in a very busy milieu. His father, Mr. Mashrur Reza, played football from the Khulna division and, as a result, never obstructed Shakib, to play football. Shakib was a passionate dreamer of a footballer back then. However, after 1997 (when Bangladesh gloriously defeated Kenya in ICC Champions Trophy), Shakib became interested in playing cricket and even started his practice. The tiger of cricket, Shakib Al Hasan, started as a pacer and the village where he lived in, used to take Shakib by signing agreements. Further, in 2001, when he was a student of class 7, Shakib played dazzling, which left the match umpire, Mr. Saddam Hossain, absolutely gobsmacked. He then and there, started encouraging Shakib to join the Islampur para sporting club. He started practicing in the sporting club and practiced tirelessly, in spin bowling. Besides this, in the same year, he was selected by BKSP. He was selected with 20 other players and started his journey in BKSP. Very soon, at the very young age of 17, this young talented man was introduced to home cricket. In the next year, 2002, he joined himself in the under 19 tea. In 2005, while playing under 19 teams against England and Srilanka, Shakib Al Hasan came to the limelight by making a century with only 86 balls and taking 3 wickets. By playing marvelously, he grabbed the attention of the then-head of the selection team, Mr. Farukh Ahmed. As a result, he made himself a part of the national team in 2006 when Bangladesh was on Zimbabwe tour. He became a part of the Bangladesh national cricket team at the tender age of 19. In 2007, under the leadership of Habibul Bashar, Shakib Al Hasan took part in the ICC World cup that was arranged in West Indies. In this world cup, which consisted of nine matches, he made 202 runs and took 7 wickets. In 2008, in February, South Africa visited Bangladesh to play 2 tests and 3 one day matches. In the 3 one day series, the legendary Shakib Al Hasan scored 1000 runs dramatically. Eventually, he gained the prowess of middle-order in batting. For his mind-boggling matches, he was given the honor of Vice-captain of the Bangladesh national cricket team. Gradually, he won the hearts of all and became the number one all-rounder in Bangladesh.
