TikTok, a video-sharing social networking service that is owned by ByteDance, where there is a use of creating short dance, lip-sync, comedy, and talent videos. Then where is the stench if it is so clear?
A TikTok celebrity named Faizal Siddiqui, having a huge number of followers made content on TikTok. Here in the content, he says, “Did the man you left me for abandon you?” and then he took a glass filled with liquid and splashes it on his ‘girlfriend’ and at the end of the video, the woman’s face changes with make-up portraying damages that one gets after “acid attack”. This video went viral and became a hot topic.
To talk about YouTube, it is an American online video-sharing platform. Here one can find everything whatever he/she wants. If one isn’t understanding any mathematical terms and if one search it on YouTube, he/she may easily find it out. Not only this one but also if anyone wishes to take tips on meditation or any important thing as well as music, videos, and others these all easily can be found on YouTube. YouTube is like clear water, it’s not like that. Even everything has a good side as well as bad sides too. But when people use the good side, the bad side disappears. TikTok is also Similar to YouTube too. A little slight difference like it creates short
videos, comedy videos but what is the point to get banned from everyone? From where it all started?
Moreover, let’s talk about a tale. You are given a platform, you are coming here and acting completely insane. Those kinds of works have started the battle. For public demands, they want entertainment videos not that kind of videos where one’s entertainments and violation both will be shown.
On the other hand, in the google play store, people have reviewed after this battle happened and when CarryMinati uploaded the video against TikTok, YouTube has erased his video due to violation privacy. Then people who know about YouTube and its importance has reviewed TikTok on google play store then the ratings became 1.2 from 4.5. But in the apple store, the rating is still 4.7. Isn’t it strange?
As people of India have decided to ban and moreover TikTok was Once banned before for uploading such videos, it has highlighted more for this reason. If we see India’s perspective, most of the people are living under the poverty line uses android and for this reason, people chose to give a review on google play store as it is more updated instead of giving reviews on apple store.
If we review the marketing strategy of Tiktok, they were very wise to compete with YouTube but at present what they did, it may create many problems. What if they want to start again like before, what should be the strategy?
Tiktok was very popular in the past three years. They have got support from giant companies like Facebook, google, amazon, and others. The truth is, it has earned fame more than anything. But for some videos which created hypes among the public, they become lower again.
Middle-class people prefer YouTube over everything. Because they get everything that they search for. Youth aged people are followers of trendy things. So, it can be a good idea if TikTok comes up with new names as well as an eye-catching name. The current trend of youth is to learn how to make logos and others are easily found on YouTube.
But TikTok, due to making some fake content, people may try to be on YouTube. But as YouTube and TikTok are both famous, TikTok may face negligence initially as it has got bad reviews. But if they want to sustain in the market, they have to remove all the bad sides they created before. They should start some unique methods to grab their huge followers again. By
continuously increasing their friendly content, adding restrictions of age where there will be found no more, immature users. It will be possible to compete with YouTube again. But they must need to come up with different new Strategies to keep their fame like before they earned.
Since the battle is still going on and the audiences have taken over the control of Brand Image of Tiktok there’s nothing much to do for the marketing team of Tiktok. What can they even do? A brand can change the perspective of its user’s perspectives but not their action or behavior.
There is a saying, “The smoke comes out of daddy’s cigarette, but never goes back in”. So, from the above discussion, we see that TikTok and YouTube both of them are amazing to explore oneself. But TikTok being used by the professionals has reached the level of the mark where most people get to learn day to day stuff. Yet a stopped clock gives the correct time twice a day, so if they can make the best use of any platform, it will give them the best results too.
