Eastern Bank PLC Unveils ‘Smart IVR’ Service

Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has recently introduced the Smart Interactive Voice Response, or ‘Smart IVR’ service, at a ceremony held at Z N Tower in Gulshan, underscoring EBL’s commitment to enhancing the banking experience for its customers according to a press release.

Developed by the proficient EBL IT team, the Smart IVR platform enables customers to access a diverse range of banking services directly through their smartphones. This user-friendly service eliminates the need for physical visits to EBL branches and bypasses the requirement for assistance from customer service representatives. Customers can initiate the process by simply dialing 16230 and following the provided IVR instructions.

Speaking on the occasion Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director and CEO of EBL said, “The introduction of ‘Smart IVR’ is a testament to our commitment to providing convenience and unparalleled services to our customers. This service promises to redefine customer experience standards by providing a more personalized and efficient approach to banking service.” 

This move not only highlights EBL’s dedication to technological progress but also emphasizes its ongoing commitment to providing a seamless and convenient banking experience for its valued customers. The introduction of the Smart IVR service represents a significant step in EBL’s ongoing efforts to set new standards in customer-centric banking solutions.

The launching ceremony was also attended by M. Khorshed Anowar, DMD and Head of Retail and SME Banking; Syed Zulkar Nayen, Head of Business; Zahidul Haque, Chief Technology Officer; Ahsan Ullah Chowdhury, Head of Digital Financial Services; Md. Atiqur Rahman, Head of Contact Center along with other senior officials from all divisions of the bank.
