The most prestigious award in Bangladesh, “Joy Bangla Youth Award 2020,” was achieved by Startup Chattogram, one of the most unassuming change-makers to promote healthy communication, collaboration, and leadership for the young entrepreneurs. 

Startup Chattogram is a platform for those early-stage entrepreneurs who are eager to start their new journey to achieve their respective goals in the future. The founder and CEO of Startup Chattogram, Arafatul Islam Akib, stated that” It is impossible to stop a dedicated and passionate person for the purpose of bringing optimism in the society.” By inviting renowned and experienced people, the team established Startup Chattogram in 2017. They also initiated “Startup School,” which engaged almost 300 participants and ten startups to give the young entrepreneurs a head start about startups. Mr. Akib also stated that he could learn how to share his knowledge and experience while representing Bangladesh in Nepal. In his stead, “Being the land of tigers, we Bangladeshi people always want to clutch each and every opportunity to achieve it as a tiger always grabs and observes its prey.” As a bit of advice, he also specified, “Never to give up, stay determined and try more.”

Furthermore, the Idea & Innovation Lead, Neealana Naushin believes that ‘resiliency’ is necessary for tech startup success. She tends to empower the startups by elevating the ventures through Startup Chattogram. She notified that “It is prominent to ensure the efficiency, sustainability, and success above priority in order to develop customer engagement and a successful establishment for the future.” 

The Coordinator of Idea & Innovation, Startup Chattogram, Nusrat Zerin, also shared her experience that this platform helped her strengthen her leadership qualities and improved her management skills. She also highlighted how proper guidance is a must for most of the startups in its early stage. She also discussed some upcoming events like Startup Chattogram Incubation, where holistic mentorship and guidance will be provided in terms of investment for further growth and empowerment.

Some successful personalities like Prof. Khondaker A. Mamun, PhD, Founder, CMED Health, Asikul Alam Khan, Founder & CEO, PriyoShop.com, Monjoor Morshed, Technical Program Manager, Facebook, and many more also shared their view and knowledge towards the startups. In collaboration with renowned faces in the industry and government officials, so far, they managed to launch the first-ever boot camp in Chattogram.

In order to preach innovations and more opportunities, Startup Chittagong is playing a vital role all over the country. By setting their goal on the improvement and empowerment towards everyone in the society, optimistically, it will be able to bring more success for the country in the future.
